A good friend of mine, Beck, needed a hand bringing his balcony back to life. The existing balcony and staircase had battled the elements for long enough, and an upgrade was overdue. We mirrored the original design, but gave more thought to the batten widths, letting in more light while still keeping the privacy he wanted.
Many cups of tea were drunk, and the occasional three o'clock finish rolled around on the sunnier days, but the work got done. I love working with friends, the collaborating, teaching, learning, and the added bonus of getting to enjoy the space once the job's finished.
