Sitting up in the skyline of West London, this wrap-around balcony let the views do most of the heavy lifting, there was no need for anything too bold to draw the eye when the rooftops and streets beyond were doing the job already. Instead, the balcony was designed to blend into that view, with materiality and pot shapes chosen to mirror roof angles, chimney pot colours, and the rest of the surrounding skyline.
With such narrow walkways to work within, key views were used to zone the space, breaking it up into smaller, more intimate areas alongside longer, more open stretches for entertaining and everyday use.
